CMYK. Dots of cyan (blue), magenta (red), yellow and black (K) are placed side by side in a specific pattern that fools the eye of millions of colors. With each ink color laser printing is specifically requested.

RGB is all the different colors of ink on paper in one pass through the printer.


RGB
Red, green and blue are primary colors as defined by the light. This space "color" you see on your monitor or TV. The computer automatically converts documents into CMYK when printing in inkjet or laser printer, but are less dynamic than you see on your screen. Use RGB creates problems when sending a print job to a professional printer.

CMYK
Cyan, magenta, yellow and black are the colors for the purposes of printing inks consisting of dyes and pigments. This space "color" is used by commercial printers. Dyes and pigments do not produce such a wide range of colors than the light thatand is often an undesirable change in color and colors are more moderate than they are on the monitor.

With a four-color (CMYK) a final print produced with more contrast. However, seeing the color on a computer screen is often different than the color of the object on a print CMYK and RGB, as they have different areas. For example, pure blue (RGB 0, 0, 100%) is impossible to produce in CMYK. The closest match in CMYK is a blue-violet dissimilar.

Computer (and other) monitors use an RGB color space, the colors, the additive mixture of red, green and blue (the sum is) the white light. The pressure can not be this combination of light directly reproduced, so that the images must be generated by the computer are converted into the corresponding CMYK color.
